The Worst Wrinkle Cream Reviews Ever

Usually you think that if you pay more for a skin care product, you are getting the best.  Not always so as some of these terrible wrinkle cream reviews will show.  Hopefully this post will help you avoid costly mistakes.

1. Creams that contain collagen and use this as one of their selling points, claiming that the collagen in the cream will make you look younger by getting rid of wrinkles.  Firstly, there is no way that putting collagen on your skin can help your wrinkles or indeed any other sign of aging.  Why?  Because collagen cannot penetrate the skin, period.  Please note, this is entirely different to anti aging creams that contain ingredients which help you make more of your OWN collagen from within your skin cells.

"Dr Blanca Sengerova, an Oxford University protein biochemist, said: ‘It really frustrates me when I see adverts for anti-wrinkle creams containing collagen. Although collagen is structurally important, the protein molecule is far too large to pass through the barrier posed by the skin.’

As a result, the collagen molecules sit on the surface of the face until they are rubbed off or washed away"

It's actually incredible how many big brand cosmetic companies are selling wrinkles creams touted on the fact that one of (if not THE) main active ingredients is collagen
2.  Creams that contain mineral oil usually end up with awful wrinkle cream reviews because mineral oil is one of the worst things you can put on your face.  It's widely used in large quantities because it's so cheap. You might see it on the ingredients list as paraffin wax or petrolatum.  What happens when this stuff is on your face, is your pours get all clogged up and your skin is unable to 'breath' and get rid of toxins.  You may end up with spots, blackheads or acne.  Over time your skin can become reliant on the mineral oils, meaning that if you don't keep on applying them, you will get dryness, roughness and flaking.  Worst of all, prolonged use of mineral oils on your face can actually CAUSE wrinkles!
3. Poor customer service results in bad  reviews because buyers understandably end up feeling frustrated, especially if they are having a hard time getting the company to honor their refund request.  Yes indeed, there are several companies out there who offer a really 'generous' no questions asked money back guarantee for as long as three months, but try actually getting that refund and you will be very lucky!  Some of these companies are now facing legal action for making false promises as regards their refund policy.
If you look at Julie Allen's Wrinkle Cream Reviews blog, she goes into detail about several of the top performing anti aging creams and serums.  None of these base their claims on useless or harmful ingredients and all bar one have proved to be good on the customer service side.  The one that has had some problems is discussed on the site and as this is a relatively new product to the market, hopefully the company are improving on this score.
